About
A family name. A Bay Area mission. A commitment to building wealth and community together.
Our first investments in 2016 were single-family homes and duplexes in more affordable out-of-state markets, where we learned the fundamentals of underwriting, property management, and operating small rental properties from a distance.
As our experience grew, so did the opportunities. We partnered with established operators and became a General Partner on our first multifamily asset in Phoenix, after multiple investments as an equity partner. That project gave us hands-on exposure to larger-scale operations: value-add renovations, capital improvement planning, investor communication, and building business plans that create meaningful improvements for both residents and investors.
Now we focus on value-add projects in the San Francisco Bay Area where we currently have 78 units under management.
The Name
Kenji Capital is named after two people who mean the world to me — my grandfather and my son, both named Kenji. The name represents the bridge between generations: honoring the values, work ethic, and wisdom my grandfather instilled in me, while building something meaningful for my son's future.
This isn't just a business name — it's a daily reminder of why we do what we do. Every deal we close, every building we improve, and every community we strengthen is part of a legacy that stretches back to my grandfather and forward to my son.
"At Kenji Capital, our mission is to strengthen local communities by building and managing housing people are proud of, helping our partners build long-term wealth, and giving back in the neighborhoods where we operate."

Our Focus
Throughout our journey, one thing became increasingly clear: the most interesting opportunities were in our own backyard. The Bay Area is one of the most supply-constrained housing markets in the country, and many older buildings remain under-renovated, poorly managed, or simply overlooked.
That combination — limited supply, strong demand, and operational inefficiencies — creates powerful value-add potential.
Today, Kenji Capital focuses exclusively on San Francisco Bay Area multifamily. We acquire and improve small-to-mid-sized apartment buildings with clear pathways to upside.
Thoughtful upgrades that enhance the resident experience and increase long-term asset performance.
Leveraging our local knowledge and construction experience to run buildings better than the status quo.
Investing in properties that become better homes, not just better financial assets.
We partner with qualified investors who believe in improving communities while building long-term wealth.
